SPLA units target Moroccan occupation army positions in Mahbes sector

Bir Lehlou (Sahrawi Republic), August 21, 2026 (SPS) – Units of the Sahrawi People’s Liberation Army (SPLA) has targeted positions of the Moroccan occupation army in the Mahbes sector, inflicting heavy losses in personnel and equipment.

A military communiqué issued Friday by the Ministry of National Defense stated that advanced detachments of the Sahrawi army carried out bombardments Thursday morning against positions of the Moroccan occupation forces in the Krarat Al-Farsik area of the Mahbes sector, causing significant losses among the ranks of the Moroccan army.

Advanced units had also targeted positions and bases of the Moroccan forces on Wednesday evening in the Ross Sabti area of the Mahbes sector.
