Boumerdès, August 3, 2025 (SPS) – The Prime Minister, member of the National Secretariat, Mr. Bouchraya Hammoudi Bayoun, stated that Morocco is experiencing escalating international isolation due to its deteriorating economic situation and growing popular discontent.
In his speech during the opening of the 13th Summer University for Polisario Front and Sahrawi State executives, the Prime Minister highlighted that Morocco is facing deepening crises—economic, social, and even political—evidenced by severe divisions within government institutions, decision-making centers, declining living conditions for Moroccans, and increasing numbers of migrants risking their lives on dangerous boat journeys. He also pointed to widespread public rejection of the failed social policies of successive governments and political parties in power.
The Prime Minister added that, at the regional level, the Moroccan state continues to pursue policies that support terrorism and organized crime, particularly drug trafficking in the Sahel region, directly threatening peace and security while targeting neighboring countries. These actions, he argued, are an attempt to divert attention from Morocco’s internal crises, which have been exacerbated by the resumption of armed struggle—a struggle whose cost extends beyond material losses to social unrest, as seen in widespread protests against soaring living costs and skyrocketing prices of basic goods.
He further emphasized the broad popular rejection of Morocco’s normalization with the Zionist entity, describing it as a disgraceful move that positions Morocco as a strategic partner for Israel in war technology, espionage, and destabilizing North Africa. He condemned Morocco’s opening of Western Sahara to Israeli settlement, mirroring the Zionist expansion in the eastern part of the Arab world.
The Prime Minister also noted Morocco’s dangerous international alliances, including its alignment with Israel, the conspiratorial stances of the Spanish Prime Minister and French President, and financial backing from certain Gulf States. He criticized Morocco’s attempts to lure consular representations from paid-off nations into the occupied cities of Western Sahara, warning that such actions pose a serious threat to regional peace and security.
Meanwhile, Algeria continues to solidify its position as a diplomatic, economic, and military force on the regional and continental stage. Its influential role in the UN Security Council, where it advocates for African nations' political and economic liberation, technological advancement, and self-determination, underscores its credibility. Algeria stands with emerging international blocs that oppose oppressive forces and support the struggles of oppressed peoples worldwide.
