El Aaiun Wilaya, July 10, 2026 (SPS) – The Minister of Public Health, member of the National Secretariat, Mr. Adda Ibrahim Ahmeim, chaired a meeting on Thursday at the Regional Hospital of the wilaya of El Aaiun to assess the current health and environmental situation.
The meeting was attended by the Minister of Water and Environment, Mr. Ahmed Bachir Ami Omar, the Governor of the wilaya of El Aaiun, Mr. El Gouth Mamouni, senior officials from the Ministry of Public Health, as well as Sahrawi and Cuban doctors.
The meeting reviewed the overall public health situation across various healthcare institutions, along with the general environmental situation. Participants also discussed ways to strengthen healthcare services in hospitals and medical facilities and stressed the need to maintain the highest level of vigilance in responding to any potential health emergencies. They further emphasized the implementation of standardized treatment protocols for dealing with such cases.
