Occupied Boujdour, April 17, 2026 (SPS) – Moroccan occupation authorities are imposing a heavy security siege on the home of the family of released Sahrawi civilian prisoner Abdelmoula Mohamed El Hafed, according to a Sahrawi human rights source.

The source indicated that all alleys leading to the family home are witnessing a large and intense deployment of vehicles and personnel from various Moroccan security services, which continues up to this moment, in order to spread an atmosphere of fear and intimidation among family members as well as all Sahrawis, and to prevent them from visiting the Sahrawi political prisoner—an act that constitutes a blatant violation of all rights and freedoms.

In this context, the Sahrawi League for the Defense of Human Rights and Protection of Natural Resources expressed its full solidarity with the family of the released political prisoner.

It also renewed its strong condemnation of the repressive siege imposed by the occupying state on the home of the family of political prisoner Abdelmoula Mohamed El Hafed, holding the Moroccan state responsible for any harm that may affect the safety of the family or any Sahrawi citizens coming to congratulate the released prisoner and share in his joy.
