SPLA targets Moroccan occupation military positions in Mahbes sector

Bir Lehlou (Sahrawi Republic), 6 February 2026 (SPS) – Units of the Sahrawi People’s Liberation Army (SPLA) targeted Moroccan occupation military positions in the Mahbes sector, inflicting heavy losses in lives and equipment.

A military communiqué issued by the Ministry of National Defense stated that advanced detachments of the Sahrawi army carried out, today Friday, a concentrated bombardment targeting enemy bases and fortified positions in the Laaran area of the Mahbes sector. The communiqué also reported the shelling of a tank position belonging to the invading army in the Aguid Arkan area of the same sector.
