SPLA Targets Moroccan occupation military positions in Mahbes sector

Bir Lahlou (Sahrawi Republic), 10 January 2026 (SPS) – Units of the Sahrawi People’s Liberation Army (SPLA) targeted Moroccan occupation military positions in the Mahbes sector, inflicting heavy losses in equipment and lives.

A military communiqué issued on Saturday by the Ministry of National Defense stated that advanced units of the Sahrawi army carried out concentrated shelling on Saturday, targeting the headquarters of an enemy corps in the Rous Lhatiba area of the Mahbes sector. The statement also reported the shelling of a “tactical group” belonging to the Moroccan army in the Umm Laqta area of the same sector.
