Algiers, 07 January 2026 (SPS) – Member of the National Secretariat, Ambassador to Algeria, Khatri Addouh, granted a lengthy interview to Channel One of Algerian National Radio within the program “Angles of Events,” during which he outlined the features of the upcoming phase in the course of the Sahrawi cause, particularly at the legal and diplomatic levels, within the framework of the struggle to enable the Sahrawi people to exercise their right to self-determination.
The Sahrawi ambassador addressed the stakes and challenges imposed by the current stage, in addition to the human rights and humanitarian situation in the occupied Sahrawi territories, in light of the ongoing violations committed by the Moroccan occupation authorities.
The Sahrawi diplomat pointed to repeated attempts by the European Union to circumvent international law by bypassing the decisions of the Court of Justice of the European Union, which affirmed the illegality of exploiting the natural resources of Western Sahara, clearly establishing that Western Sahara and Morocco are two separate territories, and that Morocco has no right to exploit or export Sahrawi resources except with the consent of the Polisario Front, the sole and legitimate representative of the Sahrawi people.
Khatri Addouh affirmed that the Sahrawi cause remains a decolonization issue, and that any political solution must be based on enabling the Sahrawi people to exercise their inalienable right to self-determination, in accordance with international legitimacy.
