Shaheed El Hafed, April 29, 2026 (SPS) – The Minister of Public Health, member of the National Secretariat, Adda Ibrahim Ahmeim, received Wednesday doctors and professors from the University of California in the United States of America.
The meeting addressed the current health situation in the Sahrawi refugee camps and the repercussions of funding cuts directed to the sector, as well as their impact on health programs. It also highlighted the priorities identified by the Ministry of Public Health and the challenges facing the Sahrawi health sector.
The American doctors conducted a visit that included the gastroenterology and ophthalmology departments at the National Health Complex Martyr Bashir Saleh, as well as a visit to observe the progress of programs at the Martyr Ahmed Abdel Fattah School for Paramedical Training.
