Auserd Wilaya, April 9, 2026 (SPS) – Member of the National Secretariat, President of the National Council, Mr. Bachir Mustapha Sayed, received the Algerian parliamentary delegation from the Algeria–Western Sahara Parliamentary Brotherhood and Friendship Group, which is participating in the celebrations marking the 50th anniversary of the proclamation of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic.
The delegation is led by Mr. Miloud Tsouh, President of the group.
During the reception, the President of the National Council expressed his thanks and appreciation to the parliamentary group for its fraternal participation in the events commemorating the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the Sahrawi state. He stressed that the visit reflects the deep-rooted brotherly relations between the Sahrawi and Algerian peoples, as well as the leading role of the parliamentary group in strengthening cooperation, joint action, supporting the struggle of the Sahrawi people, and advocating for their just right to freedom and independence.
For his part, Mr. Miloud Tsouh, President of the Algeria–Western Sahara Parliamentary Brotherhood and Friendship Group, conveyed to the President of the Sahrawi National Council the greetings and congratulations of his counterpart, Mr. Ibrahim Boughali, President of the Algerian People’s National Assembly, on his appointment as President of the Sahrawi National Council, as well as on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic.
He reaffirmed Algeria’s firm and consistent position in support of the Sahrawi people’s right to self-determination and independence.
