President of Republic receives newly elected leadership of UJSARIO

Shaheed El-Hafed, 16 December 2025 (SPS) – The President of the Republic, Secretary-General of the Polisario Front, Mr. Brahim Ghali, received today, Tuesday, at the headquarters of the Presidency of the Republic, the newly elected leadership of the Union of Saguia el-Hamra and Río de Oro (UJSARIO), elected during the organization’s 11th Congress, which was held at the end of last November in the wilaya of Awsard.

President Brahim Ghali’s reception of the new leadership comes within the framework of the constant support provided by the Sahrawi state and the Polisario Front to Sahrawi youth, as they are an integral part of the national project.

The President of the Republic highlighted the importance of the national responsibility and the weight of the militant tasks that require the youth organization to intensify efforts and work to confront the enemy’s schemes targeting the Sahrawi people.

He also congratulated the new leadership, calling on it to work toward supporting the military institution with qualified cadres and to engage in it through mobilization and incitement.

The head of the Political Organization Secretariat, member of the National Secretariat, Mr. Amrbeih El Mami Dai, at the outset of the meeting, presented a detailed explanation of the circumstances under which the 11th Congress of UJSARIO was held and the need to adapt the situation to the requirements of the current phase facing the Sahrawi cause.

He added that the reception of the newly elected leadership of the Youth Union reflects the priority President Brahim Ghali attaches to youth, in view of their pivotal role in the battle of liberation and nation-building.

The Secretary-General of UJSARIO, Aali Mohamed Salem, affirmed the organization’s full readiness to work in accordance with the plans and orientations of the leadership of the national struggle of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Saguia el-Hamra and Río de Oro, in implementation of the outcomes of the Congress and in line with the directives of the Central Secretariat of Political Organization.
