
Algiers, August 23, 2025 (SPS) – Mr. Khadri Adouh, a member of the National Secretariat of the Polisario Front, Ambassador to Algeria, oversaw Wednesday in Algiers the launch of the Pharmacovigilance Program in the Sahrawi Republic.
This program is part of a humanitarian United Nations support initiative provided to the African Union following the COVID-19 pandemic.
This health program aims to enhance rapid response capabilities to epidemics and improve monitoring and prevention mechanisms through proactive awareness campaigns and the adoption of vaccinations.
In his speech, the Sahrawi Ambassador praised this initiative, emphasizing the Sahrawi Republic's commitment to African strategic directions in this field.
He highlighted the significant strides made by the Sahrawi state in the health sector despite challenging circumstances and limited resources.
He also extended his gratitude to the participants in this program, including the Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention, the Ministry of Public Health, the Sahrawi Red Crescent, and other health partners.
