Shaheed Al-Hafed, May 19, 2024 (SPS) - A delegation representing the Diplomatic Forum for Solidarity with the Sahrawi People arrived Sunday at the Sahrawi refugee camps to participate in the celebrations commemorating the 51st anniversary of the outbreak of the armed struggle, and to closely observe the work of Sahrawi institutions.
Upon arrival, the delegation was received by the National Director of Protocol, Mr. Bulahi Sayed, the Minister of Communication, Mr. Hamada Salma, and the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Hameda Hafed.
The delegation includes ambassadors from countries that are friends of the Sahrawi people and have diplomatic relations with the Sahrawi Republic from around the world. It is expected that the Forum will hold its fifth regular session as a guest of the Sahrawi people at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The delegation will participate tomorrow in the celebrations commemorating the 51st anniversary of the outbreak of the armed struggle and the National Day of the Army, where they will attend the military parade at the Shaheed Al-Hanafi Center and other accompanying activities, in addition to visiting some national institutions, including the National Museum of Resistance, the Association of the Families of Sahrawi Prisoners and Disappeared, and media institutions, as well as meetings with Sahrawi officials.
The delegation will receive a public reception in the Wilaya of Smara, and some ambassadors will present their credentials as ambassadors of their countries to the Sahrawi Republic.
At the end of the visit, the delegation will be received by the President of the Republic, the Secretary General of the Front, Mr. Brahim Ghali.
