Managua (Nicaragua), May 13, 2025 (SPS) – The National Assembly of Nicaragua congratulated the Sahrawi people on the occasion of the 52nd anniversary of the founding of the POLISARIO Front on May 10, 1973, and the launch of the armed struggle on May 20, 1973.
In a letter sent to the Sahrawi Republic's embassy in Managua, the President of the National Assembly of Nicaragua, Dr. Gustavo Porras, reaffirmed “unwavering support for the just Sahrawi cause, reiterating the commitment to continue strengthening the ties of friendship, brotherhood, and solidarity between our two peoples and governments.”
The President of the National Assembly also took the opportunity to join in commemorating these two pivotal moments in Sahrawi history, expressing his "hope for a future where the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic is recognized within its legitimate borders, in peace, sovereignty, and dignity."
