Bir-Lehlu (Sahrawi Republic), June 25, 2026 (SPS) – President of the Republic, Secretary-General of the Polisario Front, Mr. Brahim Ghali, has sent a congratulatory message to Ethiopian Prime Minister Dr. Abiy Ahmed Ali following the recent electoral success of his party.
In his message, President Ghali conveyed, on behalf of the Government and people of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic, as well as in his own name, his warm congratulations and best wishes to Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Ali.
The Sahrawi President described the electoral achievement as a reflection of the confidence and trust placed by the Ethiopian people in the Prime Minister’s leadership and vision for the continued advancement of Ethiopia. He noted that the outcome demonstrates popular support for efforts aimed at promoting stability, development, and prosperity in the country.
President Ghali also reaffirmed the Sahrawi Republic’s appreciation for the longstanding relations of friendship, solidarity, and mutual respect between the Sahrawi and Ethiopian peoples. He emphasized the commitment of the Sahrawi Republic to further strengthening bilateral ties and expanding cooperation in areas of common interest, in line with the principles of African unity and the shared aspirations of African peoples for peace, development, and progress.
Expressing confidence in Ethiopia’s future under the leadership of Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Ali, President Ghali wished him continued success in carrying out his responsibilities and extended his sincere wishes for the enduring prosperity and well-being of the Ethiopian people.
