Auserd, 25 November 2025 (SPS) – Foreign delegations have renewed their support for the Sahrawi people and their just cause, affirming their steadfast commitment to stand by them until freedom and independence are achieved.
Gustavo Corneiro, a member of the Portuguese Solidarity Movement with the Sahrawi People, reaffirmed during the opening of the 11th Congress of the Youth Union his movement’s support for the Sahrawi cause, praising the legendary steadfastness demonstrated by the Sahrawi people through patience and resistance.
Corneiro condemned the repression and abuse suffered by the Sahrawi people at the hands of Moroccan security forces.
The foreign delegations also denounced the grave violations committed in the occupied territories against unarmed Sahrawi civilians by the Moroccan occupation authorities.
For her part, Ms. Monica, a member of the Brazilian Association for Solidarity with the Sahrawi People, called for the protection of the Sahrawi population in the occupied territories and for holding the Moroccan occupation authorities accountable for their crimes against unarmed Sahrawi citizens.
She also held the international community fully responsible for prolonging the suffering of the Sahrawi people, urging the need for a swift end to colonialism.
The foreign delegations pledged to convey the message of the Sahrawi people and raise awareness of their suffering in all international youth forums.
