Shaheed El Hafed, September 3, 2026 (SPS) – President of the Republic, Secretary-General of the Polisario Front, Mr. Brahim Ghali, reaffirmed on Thursday that the Sahrawi people remain firmly committed to its inalienable and non-negotiable right to freedom and independence, and rejects all dubious solutions aimed at depriving it of this right or circumventing it.
In an address delivered during the opening of the Tenth Ordinary Session of the National Secretariat, the President of the Republic added that the Sahrawi people stands firmly against attempts to circumvent and deprive peoples of their rights.
He stressed that a solution to the Sahrawi question must be based on clear foundations, centred on the inalienable right of the Sahrawi people and achieved through a transparent process consistent with relevant United Nations resolutions.
The President of the Republic drew attention to the particular nature of the current phase, ahead of the 17th Congress of the Polisario Front, which requires vigilance, mobilisation and preparedness to meet the challenges and thwart the enemy’s conspiracies.
On another front, he highlighted the danger posed by Morocco to its neighbours through its expansionist policies and the trafficking of drugs to finance terrorist organisations and transnational organised crime, as well as by facilitating the implementation of external agendas.
The President of the Republic stressed that this situation, which Morocco has created at the regional level, requires peoples to confront these challenges and intensify coordination and joint action in order to serve the interests of their peoples in development and stability.
