NUSW commends pivotal role of African women in promoting peace and stability across continent

Shaheed El Hafed, August 01, 2026 (SPS) – The National Union of Sahrawi Women (NUSW) has praised the pivotal role played by African women in promoting peace and stability across the continent.

In a statement issued on the occasion of the 64th anniversary of African Women's Day, observed annually on July 31, NUSW reaffirmed the central role African women play in building more just and stable societies, advancing sustainable development, and strengthening peace and security throughout the African continent.

NUSW reiterated its full solidarity with African women in their legitimate struggle for justice, equality, and empowerment, calling for enhanced cooperation and coordination among African women's organizations.
