Shaheed El Hafed, July 5, 2026 (SPS) – The President of the Republic, Secretary-General of the Polisario Front, Mr Brahim Ghali, sent a congratulatory message to his Algerian counterpart, Mr Abdelmadjid Tebboune, conveying his congratulations and those of the Sahrawi people on the occasion of the 64th anniversary of Algeria's independence.
In his message, President Brahim Ghali stated: "This is a historic and joyous occasion on which I extend, in my own name and on behalf of the Government and people of the Sahrawi Republic, and through Your Excellency to the entire brotherly Algerian people, my warmest and sincerest congratulations on the occasion of the 64th anniversary of Independence and Youth Day. I pray to Almighty God to grant you continued good health, success, and prosperity, and to bless Algeria and its people with further progress, advancement, and development."
President Brahim Ghali added: "As the Sahrawi people congratulate Algeria on the anniversary of the restoration of its full sovereignty over its national territory, they wish to express their profound gratitude, appreciation, and recognition for Algeria's steadfast principled position of support, solidarity, and backing for their just and legitimate struggle to exercise their inalienable and non-negotiable right to self-determination and independence, in the same manner as all other peoples of the world."
