Uniciencia University of Bogotá organizes conference on human rights in Western Sahara

Bogotá, 17 May 2026 (SPS) – The ambassador of the Sahrawi Republic to Colombia, Mohamed Alí Alí Salem, delivered a lecture at Uniciencia University on human rights in Western Sahara, in which he highlighted the repression directed against Sahrawi human rights activists.

During the event, the university coordinator, Myriam Hernández, addressed the audience to introduce the event and welcome the participants. The activity then continued with the screening of the documentary “The Walls” by Eduardo Galeano.

“The Human Rights Situation in Occupied Western Sahara” was the theme of the conference, during which the ambassador emphasized the constant human rights violations committed by the Moroccan expansionist regime.
