Istanbul (Turkey), 28 March 2026 (SPS) – The Union of Students of Saguia El-Hamra and Rio de Oro (UESARIO) has won the position of Vice-President for the African Committee within the International Union of Socialist Youth (IUSY).
This victory came after UESARIO ranked first among 11 candidates, obtaining an absolute majority. The result reflects the continuous work carried out by the Student Union through building wide relations with various youth and student organizations, and its ongoing defense of just causes, foremost among them the Sahrawi cause, in different international forums.
UESARIO stressed that this victory represents a motivation to continue working and struggling in order to provide honorable representation for Sahrawi youth and students, and to defend their rights and just causes in various international platforms.
