Ziguinchor (Senegal), 24 March 2026 (SPS) – The National Union of Sahrawi Women (NUSW) is taking part in the activities of the regional peace-building forum organized by the organization Mondubat in the city of Ziguinchor in southern Senegal.
NUSW is represented at this event by Aziza Hassena, head of studies and research in the media department, along with Khadija Bashir. The delegation is contributing by exchanging experiences and expertise in the field of peace-building and community work.
The forum is witnessing participation from civil society associations from the Basque Country, including the Association of Sahrawi Women in Spain and the Sahrawi Coordination in Spain.
The event is also attended by representatives of organizations, associations, and groups from Senegal and Mauritania, the latter being represented by the Mauritanian Women Heads of Household Association (AFSF).
The first day of the forum was marked by introductory presentations delivered by representatives of the participating countries and organizations, during which they reviewed their fields of work and their main activities in support of peace and development.
