Ait Melloul (Morocco), 24 January 2026 (SPS) — Sahrawi civilian prisoner Ibrahim Daddi Ismaili is suffering from medical neglect and inadequate healthcare inside the Moroccan Ait Melloul Prison.
The sister of Sahrawi civilian prisoner Ibrahim Daddi Ismaili told the Sahrawi Prisoners Protection League that the Moroccan prison administration in Ait Melloul has ignored his health condition for nearly 49 days, particularly regarding his right knee, and has failed to respond positively to the recommendation issued by the treating physician, who advised that the prisoner undergo physiotherapy sessions for the right ankle and knee.
She added that the hospital administration shows no willingness to provide appropriate healthcare for Sahrawi civilian prisoner Ibrahim Daddi Ismaili, in line with what is guaranteed by international conventions and covenants, as well as by Moroccan law itself.
