Shaheed El-Hafed, 05 January 2026 (SPS) — The President of the Republic, Secretary-General of the Polisario Front, Mr. Brahim Ghali, affirmed that with the death of the leader Mustafa Mohamed Ali Sidi El-Bashir, the Sahrawi people have lost one of their distinguished, sincere, and loyal men who carried on their shoulders the mission of struggle and sacrifice.
President Brahim Ghali, in his tribute to the deceased of the Sahrawi people, Mustafa Mohamed Ali Sidi El-Bashir, said: “There is no doubt today that the Sahrawi people have lost one of their remarkable, sincere, and loyal men who undertook the mission of struggle and sacrifice for the sake of the freedom, pride, dignity, and independence of this steadfast people.”
President Brahim Ghali added that since the deceased’s early involvement in the national revolutionary organization, the Polisario Front, his focus was always on achieving the legitimate national goals of liberation and independence. For him, struggle was a sacred duty; regardless of the place, manner, or timing, what mattered was carrying it out with commitment, discipline, responsibility, and constant readiness — with humility and selflessness.
The late Mustafa Mohamed Ali Sidi Bashir, Minister of the Occupied Territories and Communities Abroad, passed away on Friday after a long battle with illness.
