Johannesburg (South Africa), July 27, 2025 (SPS) – South African President and leader of the African National Congress (ANC), Mr. Cyril Ramaphosa, reiterated his support for the Sahrawi people’s right to self-determination and South Africa’s solidarity with them during his speech at the Liberation Movements Summit.
Similarly, the summit’s final declaration included a dedicated paragraph on the issue of Western Sahara and its people’s right to self-determination. The declaration was signed by the six movements representing ruling parties and liberation movements in Equatorial Africa.
Zimbabwean President, Namibian President, Mozambican President, and Tanzania’s representative also emphasized in their speeches the Sahrawi people’s right to self-determination.
