Organised with the participation of the Simón Bolívar Institute for Peace and Solidarity among Peoples, the event brought together organisations committed to defending peoples’ sovereignty, opposing colonialism and promoting international solidarity.
The programme featured the documentary 50 Years of Sahrawi Resistance and Dignity, produced by UTOPIX, which chronicles the Sahrawi people’s struggle since the proclamation of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic in 1976. A message from Mohamed Zroug, Sahrawi ambassador responsible for Latin America and the Caribbean, expressed appreciation for Venezuelan organisations’ continued support for the Sahrawi cause.
