Madrid (Spain), June 09, 2025 (SPS) – The Polisario Front’s representative in Spain, Mr. Abdallah Al-Arabi, condemned the misrepresentations included in an article by the newspaper La Vanguardia regarding intentions that mischaracterize the Vacations in Peace program.
In a letter addressed to the newspaper’s editorial board, the Sahrawi diplomat clarified that the article contained inaccuracies that harm the image and purpose of the humanitarian Vacations in Peace program, as well as attempts to falsely accuse the initiative. He noted that the article included biased conclusions that damage the reputation of the widespread solidarity movement in Spain with the Sahrawi people.
The Polisario Front’s representative in Spain highlighted the prominent role played by the Polisario Front and the Sahrawi Republic in combating terrorism and organized crime in all its forms, through their efforts and close cooperation with neighboring countries in the region.
The Sahrawi diplomat called on the newspaper’s editorial board to correct the misrepresentations in the article, adhering to the principles of accuracy and journalistic integrity in reporting information correctly.
