Berlin (Germany), June 2, 2025 (SPS) – The Movement of Communist Organizations in Germany expressed its condemnation of the Moroccan occupation authorities' prevention of members of the Freedom March from visiting Sahrawi political prisoners in the Moroccan prison of Kénitra.
The Movement also declared its full solidarity with the international campaign for the release of Sahrawi political prisoners and the Sahrawi people's struggle for freedom and independence.
In a statement, the Movement explained that the Freedom March, a protest initiative aimed at highlighting the suffering of Sahrawi political prisoners and demanding their immediate release, began two months ago in both France and Spain. The March members were supposed to arrive in Morocco two days ago, but the Moroccan regime refused to allow their entry.
The statement concluded that despite the Moroccan occupation authorities' obstruction of the Freedom March, the Sahrawi people will not cease their struggle for the freedom of Western Sahara and the liberation of Sahrawi political prisoners.
