Shaheed El Hafed, May 19, 2025 (SPS) – The President of the Republic, Secretary-General of the Polisario Front, Mr. Brahim Ghali, emphasized that the escalating threats in the region posed by the occupying Moroccan state now demand a concerted effort to confront them.
In a message issued on the eve of National Army Day and the 52nd anniversary of the outbreak of the armed struggle, President Ghali stated that the Sahrawi Republic, represented by the Sahrawi People's Liberation Army (SPLA), sees itself as an indivisible part of a necessary, urgent, and integrated security framework alongside brothers, allies, friends, neighbors, and at the continental level.
This unity is essential to counter the growing threats posed by the occupying Moroccan state through its expansionist and aggressive policies, its role as a functional entity serving foreign interests, its open alliances with colonial and Zionist forces, and its facilitation of destructive agendas.
The President of the Republic further clarified that the occupying state seeks to tarnish the reputation of the Sahrawi people and their legitimate liberation struggle, as well as the credibility of their sole and legitimate representative, the Polisario Front.
This is being done through the spread of misinformation and malicious propaganda, while simultaneously intensifying its support for organized crime networks and terrorist groups in the region, exploiting them to further its destabilizing objectives.
