
Pristina (Kosovo), May 18, 2025 (SPS) – The International Union of Socialist Youth (IUSY) adopted two resolutions on the Western Sahara issue and the legitimate struggle of the Sahrawi people during its conference hosted by the Kosovar capital, Pristina.
The recommendations were submitted by Sahrawi youth and student organizations.
The Sahrawi delegation’s participation led to the adoption of two recommendations, the first recommendation, jointly proposed with the German organization Die Falken, emphasized the Sahrawi people’s long history of resistance against colonialism and occupation.
The second recommendation, jointly presented with the Socialist Youth of Chile, urged the IUSY to take stronger positions in support of all oppressed peoples, particularly the Sahrawi people.
Both recommendations received broad support at the conference and were officially adopted by unanimous consensus.
