Polisario Front reiterates gratitude to Algeria for its ongoing support

Shaheed El Hafed (refugee camps), 22 April 2024 (SPS) - The Permanent Bureau of the Polisario Front's National Secretariat expressed its gratitude to Algeria, its government and people, under the leadership of President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, over its ongoing support for the Sahrawi people's struggle against Moroccan expansionist aggression in various fields, according to the final communiqué of the Bureau's meeting.

Chaired by Brahim Ghali, President of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR) and Secretary General of the Polisario Front, the meeting focused on the visit by Ghali to President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, in the presence of delegations from both countries, which coincided with "the Security Council meeting on Western Sahara and the extent of the solidity of the strategic alliance between the two countries."

The document reiterated "the Sahrawi people's gratitude to the Algerian Republic, Government and people, under the leadership of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, for its support for the Sahrawi people in various fields, in response to Moroccan expansionist aggression, in line with Algeria's commitment to support the struggle of peoples to exercise their rights to self-determination and independence, in accordance with the principles of the November Revolution and the provisions of the United Nations Charter and the Constitutive Act of the African Union."

With regard to the Arab Conference of Solidarity with the Sahrawi People recently held in the refugee camps, the Bureau expressed "the Sahrawi people's gratitude for the partisan and popular Arab solidarity with the official Arab parties involved in the aggression against the people of the Saharawi Republic, alongside the expansionist Moroccan regime."

The communiqué further commended "detachments of the Sahrawi People's Liberation Army who prove every day their courage and determination to continue the war of liberation for the recovery of national sovereignty throughout the Sahrawi territory."

Moreover, the document praised "the resistance of the heroes of the Intifada who confront the Moroccan occupier from inside its prisons and all over the occupied territories."
