Shaheed El Hafed, May 7, 2025 (SPS) – The Permanent Bureau of the National Secretariat of the Polisario Front condemned the attempts by the Moroccan occupier and certain parties behind its frenzied campaign aimed at demonizing the noble liberation struggle waged by the Sahrawi people in self-defense, in accordance with the principles of international legitimacy and the decisions of international and regional organizations and courts—none of which recognize Morocco’s sovereignty over Western Sahara.
In a statement issued at the conclusion of its meeting on Wednesday, the Permanent Bureau saluted the combatant spirit of the Sahrawi People’s Liberation Army, which continues to courageously confront the Moroccan invading forces, inflicting heavy losses in lives and equipment.
The Permanent Bureau also noted the steadfastness and resilience of civilian prisoners in Moroccan jails and hailed the international campaign demanding their release and an end to the systematic repression against the masses of the Sahrawi people in the occupied territories of Western Sahara.
The Permanent Bureau expressed its deepest gratitude for the principled solidarity consistently shown by freedom-loving peoples and forces worldwide toward the people of the Sahrawi Republic, foremost among them the great Algeria under the leadership of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune.
