Bir Lehlou (Sahrawi Republic), 15 September 2026 (SPS) – President of the Republic, Secretary-General of the Polisario Front, Mr. Brahim Ghali, congratulated Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo on the occasion of the 216th anniversary of her country’s independence.
The President of the Republic conveyed, on behalf of the people and government of the Sahrawi Republic, his sincere congratulations to the government and people of Mexico.
He took this opportunity to affirm the depth of the cooperative relations between the Sahrawi Republic and the United Mexican States, whose founding principles have inspired the world to become more just, based on respect among all states. He expressed his readiness to further strengthen the bonds of friendship and cooperation between the two countries.
The President of Republic also commended Mexico’s steadfast position in defending the universal values of peace and justice and respect for the right of peoples to freely exercise their right to self-determination, particularly the right of the Sahrawi people to self-determination and independence.
