Minister of Foreign Affairs and African Affairs received by Namibia's Minister of International Relations and Trade

Windhoek (Namibia), June 30, 2026 (SPS) – The Sahrawi Minister of Foreign Affairs and African Affairs, Mr. Mohamed Yeslem Beissat, was received by Namibia's Minister of International Relations and Trade, Ms. Selma Ashipala-Musavyi, during his visit to Namibia as the Special Envoy of the President of the Republic and Secretary-General of the Polisario Front, Mr. Brahim Ghali.

During the meeting, the two ministers discussed issues of mutual interest and reaffirmed the historic relations and solidarity between Namibia and the Sahrawi Republic.

They also reviewed the latest developments concerning the Sahrawi question at both the international and regional levels.

The meeting was attended by the Sahrawi Ambassador to Angola and Namibia, Mr. Hamdi El Khalil Mayara.

Earlier during the visit, Minister Mohamed Yeslem Beissat was received by the President of Namibia, Ms. Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, in his capacity as the Special Envoy of President Brahim Ghali. He delivered a message of solidarity and cooperation from the Sahrawi President.

On that occasion, President Nandi-Ndaitwah reaffirmed her country's steadfast support for the Sahrawi people's right to freedom and self-determination.
