Auserd Wilaya, June 17, 2026 (SPS) – The proceedings of the Meeting of Political Secretaries and Commissars commenced today, Wednesday, in Auserd Wilaya.
The event is organized by the Secretariat of Political Organization under the slogan: “It is the slogan and practice that define an individual's identity.” The opening was attended by the President of the Republic, Secretary-General of the Polisario Front, Mr. Brahim Ghali, along with members of the National Secretariat, the government, the General Staff of the Army, and senior officials of the State and the Front.
In his official opening address, President of the Republic, Secretary-General of the Polisario Front, Mr. Brahim Ghali, noted that holding this meeting during this distinguished month—the Month of the Martyrs, marking the anniversary of the martyrdom of the founding leader El Ouali Mustapha Sayed, just days before the anniversary of the passing of the martyred President Mohamed Abdelaziz, and coinciding with the anniversary of the historic Zemla Uprising led by the late Mohamed Sidi Brahim Basiri—should serve as an additional incentive to ensure the success of the event and achieve the best possible outcomes.
The head of the Secretariat of Political Organization and member of the National Secretariat, Amrabih El Mami Dai, pointed out that the meeting serves as an organizational and political mechanism supporting the various bodies of the Front and institutions of the State. He stressed that holding the event during the Month of the Martyrs is not a coincidence, but rather a renewal of commitment and loyalty to them through the pursuit of the Sahrawi people's aspirations for freedom and independence.
The meeting’s agenda includes the presentation of an evaluation report by the Secretariat of Political Organization, the reading of a statement marking the 56th anniversary of the historic Zemla Uprising, and discussions on proposals and amendments concerning the internal regulations document of the branches. It will also feature two thematic papers, one on political discourse and another on cadre training and guidance.
According to the program agenda, participants will also listen to presentations by Bouhbini Yahya, President of the Sahrawi Red Crescent, and Hamma Malou, National Director of Security, Documentation, and Institutional Protection.
The meeting provides an opportunity for interaction, communication, and direct engagement among all levels of the organizational structure—from leadership to grassroots members—as well as a platform for discussion and the exchange of ideas.
