Smara Wilaya, May 30, 2026 (SPS) – On the second day of Eid al-Adha, the National Secretariat member, Minister of Education and Vocational Training, Abdelkader Taleb Omar, paid a field visit to the Cuban educational mission working at the Simón Bolívar National School, in an atmosphere marked by brotherhood and mutual appreciation.
The Minister commended the efforts made by the mission in supporting and supervising students academically and educationally, as well as its valuable contributions to strengthening the national education system.
The visit reflects the Ministry's commitment to strengthening communication and cooperation with partners and friends who contribute to the development of Sahrawi education. It also embodies the values of gratitude and recognition toward the educational staff who chose to share the joy of Eid with the Sahrawi people despite being far from their homeland and families.
Furthermore, the visit underscored the strong ties of friendship and cooperation between the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic and the Republic of Cuba, particularly in the fields of education and training. These relations have long served as a model of solidarity and support for the just cause of the Sahrawi people.
