Wilaya of Dakhla, 26 March 2026 (SPS) – The Governor of the wilaya of Dakhla, Mohamed Sheikh Mohamed Lahbib, confirmed that no deaths or serious injuries were recorded, despite the heavy rainfall and the unstable weather conditions that led to the flow of floods and valleys, and the rain affecting homes and public facilities in the wilaya.
Mohamed Sheikh Mohamed Lahbib added in a statement to SPS that the damage was limited to material losses, noting that the competent authorities are working, according to an integrated plan, to intervene and assess the damage.
The Governor of Dakhla stressed that the specialized teams (gendarmerie and police) are working day and night in a state of readiness to deal with all emergency situations, within an integrated system aimed at strengthening the protection of citizens and their property.
