Alicante (Spain), March 1, 2026 (SPS) – The Spanish city of Alicante hosted celebrations on Saturday commemorating the 50th anniversary of the proclamation of the Republic.
The event was organized by the Polisario Front’s office in the region, with active participation from members of the Sahrawi community.
In addition to the Sahrawi community in the area, the celebrations were attended by associations of Friends of the Sahrawi People and solidarity groups, as well as political parties, labor unions, and regional media outlets.
The event featured folkloric performances and a photo exhibition highlighting the resilience of the Sahrawi people.
Speeches were delivered by the Polisario Front representative in the region, friendly associations, and members of the community. The speakers emphasized the importance of the anniversary and the significant achievement attained by the Sahrawi people through the proclamation of their state.
