Sidati Mohamed Sheikh wins 21km distance of Sahara Marathon

Wilaya of Smara, February 24, 2026 (SPS) – Sahrawi runner Sidati Mohamed Sheikh has won the 21km distance of the 26th edition of the Sahara Marathon.

In statements to the press, Sidati Mohamed Sheikh said he was “happy to win in his first participation in this competition,” considering his victory as “a win for Sahrawi sport and proof that Sahrawi athletes are capable of participating in and winning international events.”
