Moscow (Russia), February 12, 2026 (SPS) – The Polisario Front Representation in the Russian Federation commemorated the 50th anniversary of the proclamation of the Sahrawi Republic.
The event was attended by a large number of diplomatic figures, political parties, specialists in international law, professors from Russian public universities, as well as researchers, students, and individuals interested in Sahrawi cause.
In his speech during the celebration, the Polisario Front Representative, Dr. Ali Salem Mohamed Fadel addressed the significance of the 50th anniversary in the struggle of the Sahrawi people under the leadership of the Polisario Front, highlighting the importance of the achievements made and the strong determination of the Sahrawi people to continue their struggle against the Moroccan occupation until freedom and independence are achieved.
For his part, the Chairman of the Central Committee of the Communist Party (Communists of Russia,) Mr. Sergey Malinkovich, stated that among the key issues on the party’s foreign relations agenda is the recognition of the Sahrawi State, affirming absolute solidarity with the struggle of the Sahrawi people against the Moroccan occupation until full sovereignty is achieved over all the territories of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic.
