Basque (Spain), February 12, 2026 (SPS) – The Polisario Front Representative in the Basque region, Mr. Mokhtar Labihi, was received by the President of the Basque Government, Mr. Imanol Pradales.
During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on current issues and reviewed the state of relations between the Government and people of the Basque region and the Government of the Sahrawi Republic.
The President of the Basque region reaffirmed the regional government’s historic position in support of the Sahrawi people and their just cause, reiterating his commitment to strengthening cooperation and partnership relations with the Sahrawi people.
For his part, the Polisario Front Representative in the Basque region expressed his gratitude to the Government and people of the Basque region for their continued support of the Sahrawi cause in the political, humanitarian, and institutional development fields
