Havana (Cuba), 31 January 2026 (SPS) — The Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR), Brahim Mohamed Mahmoud, held a warm and fraternal dialogue with the President of Prensa Latina, Jorge Legañoa Alonso, during a courtesy visit to the headquarters of the news agency in the Cuban capital.
The two officials reviewed the historic ties and solidarity between the two peoples for more than five decades—a fraternal relationship that has withstood countless challenges and multiple imperial threats.
Several Sahrawi institutions have signed cooperation agreements with their Cuban counterparts, including Sahara Press Service (SPS) with Prensa Latina in January 2023.
Cuba and the SADR have maintained excellent bilateral relations since January 21, 1980.
