Bir Lahlou (Sahrawi Republic), January 23, 2026 (SPS) — The President of the Republic, Secretary-General of the Polisario Front, Mr. Brahim Ghali, sent a message of condolences to the President of the Republic of Mozambique, Mr. Daniel Chapo, following the floods that swept through parts of the country, leaving dozens of victims and many injured, in addition to significant material losses.
In the message of condolences, it stated: “With deep sorrow and sadness, I received the news of the devastating floods that struck the sister Republic of Mozambique, causing immense human suffering, heavy loss of life, and severe material destruction.”
President Brahim Ghali extended his condolences, on his own behalf and on behalf of the people and government of the Sahrawi Republic, to President Daniel Chapo, to the families of the victims, and to the Mozambican people as a whole.
