Shaheed El-Hafed, 28 December 2025 (SPS) – The Minister of Information, Mr. Hamada Salma Daf, praised today, Sunday, the pivotal and important role played by national media outlets in defending the Sahrawi cause.
In his speech while presiding over the commemoration of National Media Day, Hamada Salma offered his congratulations to those working in the media field, commending the important role played by national media platforms and the path taken by the National Radio from its founding to the present day.
He also stressed the need to adopt a discourse that conveys information and analysis about the Sahrawi cause in an objective and accurate manner, highlighting the efforts made by the Sahrawi State and the Polisario Front in various fields and raising the voice defending the Sahrawi people's right to freedom and self-determination.
The Minister of Information emphasized the need to strengthen media institutions with journalists who possess strong training and high-level skills, capable of confronting hostile media campaigns and building a coherent media discourse based on facts and an understanding of the dynamics of the international arena, especially in the current circumstances.
Hamada Salma affirmed that the media sector needs competencies mastering the languages of the modern age, capable of dealing with the vast amount of information, filtering it, and transforming it into reliable media content.
He also praised the efforts of journalists in the occupied territories and the work they carry out despite the arrogance of the Moroccan occupation machinery.
The Minister of Information commended the continuous support of Algerian media outlets for the Sahrawi cause, which reflects—he added—the consistent positions and ongoing support of Algeria, its government and people, under the leadership of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, for the just Sahrawi cause.
