Algerian and Belarusian presidents renew support for Sahrawi people’s right to self-determination

Algiers, 03 December 2025 (SPS) – The President of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, and the President of Belarus, Mr. Alexander Lukashenko, reaffirmed their support for the Sahrawi people's right to self-determination.

In a joint press conference during the Belarusian president’s state visit to Algeria, the two presidents reiterated their commitment to a just political solution in accordance with international legality, enabling the Sahrawi people to exercise their inalienable right to self-determination, and expressed their support for the Personal Envoy of the UN Secretary-General.

They also reaffirmed their positions on several other international issues.
