Nouakchott (Mauritania), 18 November 2025 (SPS) – The President of the National Council, member of the National Secretariat, Mr. Hama Salama, was received by the President of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, at the Presidential Palace in Nouakchott.
On this occasion, Hama Salama conveyed the greetings of President Brahim Ghali to his brother President Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, and delivered to him a fraternal message within the framework of the ongoing communication between the leaders of the two countries and their shared commitment to strengthening consultation and coordination.
The meeting also discussed the latest developments concerning the Sahrawi issue and the bilateral relations between the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic and the Islamic Republic of Mauritania.
Attending the meeting on the Mauritanian side were Nani Ould Chrougha, Minister and Director of the Presidential Cabinet, and Major General Sidou Samba Dia, Secretary-General of External Security and Documentation.
On the Sahrawi side, the delegation included Oueld Dafaa, member of the National Secretariat and Commander of the 3rd Military Region; Hamad Malou, National Director of Security, Documentation and Institutional Protection; and Salek Babeih, Minister Advisor at the Presidency of the Republic.
