Wilaya of Auserd, October 13, 2025 (SPS) – The celebrations marking the 50th anniversary of the National Unity Day began on Sunday in the Wilaya of Auserd, in the presence of the President of the Republic, Secretary-General of the Polisario Front, Mr. Brahim Ghali, along with members of the National Secretariat, the government, the Advisory and National Councils, and a delegation from the sisterly Algerian state.
The festivities commenced with the raising of the national flag by a military formation. The Governor of Auserd, Mrs. Khira Blahi Abad, stated that fifty years represent half a century of achievements and accomplishments sown by the founding fathers, who remain faithful to their commitment to this day.
The event was highlighted by parades presented by the various Dairas of the hosting Wilaya, reflecting the symbolism of the anniversary — starting from the reality of the Sahrawi people under Spanish colonial rule, followed by a depiction of the Ain Bentili Conference, whose 50th anniversary is being commemorated, and concluding with a tableau symbolizing intergenerational continuity.
Also passing before the official platform were parades from kindergartens, primary and middle schools, as well as displays celebrating national identity, civil society organizations, regional institutions, and the social and economic sectors.
