Shaheed El-Hafed, October 10, 2025 (SPS) – The President of the Republic, Secretary-General of the Polisario Front, Mr. Brahim Ghali, received on Thursday a Swedish delegation on a solidarity visit to Sahrawi state institutions.
During the meeting, which was attended by the Polisario Front Representative in Sweden, Ms. Saniya El-Bashir, and the Presidential Adviser in charge of Media and the Arab World, Ms. Nana Labat Rashid, the President praised the continuous support of the Swedish solidarity movement — from various political forces and civil society organizations — for the Sahrawi cause since the Moroccan occupation of Western Sahara up to the present day. He urged members of the delegation to intensify their efforts to advocate for the Sahrawi cause within the Swedish arena.
The delegation was also briefed on the latest developments of the Sahrawi issue at all levels, particularly in this period marked by direct confrontation with the occupation.
The Swedish delegation represents the Swedish Network for Solidarity with the Sahrawi People, which includes members from different political groups and Swedish civil society. Their visit included field trips to several national institutions, where they observed the Sahrawi experience in institutional building amidst the struggle for liberation and reconstruction.
