Tindouf, October 7, 2025 (SPS) – As part of efforts to strengthen academic and scientific cooperation, the Dean of Tifariti University, Mr. Moulay Mhamed Brahim, was received today, Tuesday, at the Ali Kafi University Center in Tindouf by the Director of the Center, Professor Bouazza Boudersaya. The visit aimed to coordinate joint efforts between the two academic institutions within the framework of a cooperation agreement signed by both parties.
The Director of the Tindouf University Center reaffirmed Algeria’s steadfast support — both from its people and government — for the just struggle of the Sahrawi people for independence and freedom. He expressed the center’s full commitment to providing all human and material resources necessary to support and ensure the success of the agreed programs and activities.
For his part, the Dean of Tifariti University, Mr. Moulay Mhamed Brahim, conveyed the greetings and gratitude of the Sahrawi people and national leadership, expressing their deep appreciation for Algeria’s historic and principled positions in support of peoples' right to self-determination — particularly that of the Sahrawi people — and for opening up all Algerian institutions, especially higher education and scientific research institutions, to the Sahrawi people.
The joint meeting also discussed ongoing preparations for the International Conference on the Sahrawi Cause, which will address legal, political, and economic dimensions in light of current global developments. The conference will be organized on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the declaration of the Sahrawi Republic in February, which will be held at both the Tindouf University Center and Tifariti University in the Sahrawi refugee camps.
The meeting also covered practical steps for launching Tifariti University's Distance Learning Platform, which will allow Sahrawi students to pursue studies in various disciplines and fields offered by Algerian universities.
Attending the meeting was Mr. Hamdi Salek Did, advisor to the Minister of Education and Vocational Training in charge of African Union affairs and a member of the Scientific Research Center affiliated with Tifariti University.
