Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe, October 2 (SPS) - The Sahrawi Republic is participating in the 22nd Meeting between African and Nordic Countries, which opened today, Wednesday in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe.

The meeting, held under the theme "Enhancing Focus on Technology and Cooperation for Future-Ready Societies," was attended by representatives from over 20 ministers, along with a number of deputy ministers, permanent secretaries, and senior officials.

The meeting is discussing a range of issues of mutual interest to both parties, such as economic cooperation in the fields of cutting-edge technology and innovation, renewable energy, and new financing models for development and sustainable welfare, aimed at creating a humanity prepared for future challenges.

It is worth noting that the Nordic countries are five nations located in Northern Europe (Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Norway, and Iceland). They maintain special relations with Africa, having supported African liberation movements, possessing no colonial past, and adopting just policies towards African issues, just peace, and the defense of human rights.

The Sahrawi Republic is participating with a delegation headed by Mr. Mohamed Yesslem Bisset, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and African Affairs, accompanied by the Sahrawi Ambassador to Zimbabwe, Mr. Elwali Moussa.
