
Algiers, September 25, 2025 (SPS) – The Association of Algerian Muslim Scholars has handed over significant support to the Sahrawi Embassy in Algiers, consisting of more than 1,500 school bags destined for the Sahrawi Ministry of Education and Vocational Training.
This took place during a meeting between the Association's Vice President, Sheikh Yahia Sari, and the Sahrawi Ambassador to Algeria, member of the National Secretariat, Khatri Adouh.
During the meeting, the two parties discussed bilateral cooperation relations and the role played by the Association in supporting the Sahrawi people and their just cause. The Vice President of the Association gave an overview of its history rich in religious, cultural, and scientific contributions, highlighting its historical role in the struggle and defense of the Algerian national identity against French colonial attempts to erase it.
Sheikh Sari affirmed that the Association's positions in support of the Sahrawi people's struggle will continue and will encompass several areas.
For his part, the Sahrawi Ambassador expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Association and its leadership, praising its continuous support for liberation causes, foremost among them the Sahrawi and Palestinian causes. He recalled the Association's constant presence at various events and solidarity gatherings with the Sahrawi people.
